DISNEYLAND - Magic Kingdom
Disneyland is truly a magical location. Whether your family lives in Southern California and you are a frequent visitor, or you are visiting from out-of-state or even out-of-country, you want to make sure your Disneyland vacation is a special time for your family. Although there are many, many hotels in Anaheim close to the resort, we recommend you consider the resorts listed below for their special features unique to a Disneyland vacation.

Villas at Disney's Grand Californian. The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian (VGC) is part of the Disney Vacation Club (DVC), and is currently the only DVC resort near Disneyland. The VGC is unique in that it has a private entrance to Disney's California Adventure theme park, guests are granted a 1-hour early entrance to the park, and being almost on-site will allow you to come-and-go between your villa and the parks as you wish. Marriott's Newport Coast Villas. For travelers to Disneyland who want to add a touch of luxury to their trip, or who are lucky/smart enough to be Marriott Vacation Club Destinations members, Mariott's Newport Coast Villas is a beautiful resort with lots of luxury amenities on the coast of Newport Beach, just off the Pacific Coast Highway in Orange County. Most of the villas have private balconies with gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean. Disneyland is about a 30-minute drive from the Marriott's Newport Coast Villas (depending on traffic). If your trip to Disneyland is just one part of your Southern California vacation, and you plan on visiting other area attractions, then we highly recommend the Welk Resort in Escondido (North San Diego County). The Welk Resorts currently has three developments in northern San Diego county (Lawrence Welk Resort Villas, Villas on the Green and Mountain Villas), all of which make a wonderful and centrally-located "home base" for your Southern California vacation.
